Dr. Tahsin Khundkar is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS), Vit-Buckle Society (VBS) and state ophthalmic societies. His areas of expertise include age related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions, retinal tears/detachments, macular surgery, complications of cataract surgery, ocular inflammation, and secondary intraocular lens implantation.
 
 
Dr. Khundkar graduated magna cum laude with a major in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from University of Florida. He was accepted to the prestigious Pasteur Institute in France as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Scholar. During his time in medical school, Dr. Khundkar served as the national representative to the Association of American Medical Colleges. He was also inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society as a recognition for his compassionate care. Dr. Khundkar performed ophthalmology residency at New York Medical College/Jamaica Hospital and subsequently completed a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the University of Minnesota. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and has been invited to speak and present his academic work at local, state, and national ophthalmic conferences. Dr. Khundkar received honors and accolades from the AAO, ASRS, VBS, and Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO). He served the New England area as a vitreoretinal surgeon at Concord Eye Center in New Hampshire prior to relocating to central Pennsylvania.
